007 Spy Software is one of 2 monitoring programs offered by WareSight Software. 007 Spy Software is orientated towards family use whilst the other "remote" monitoring product is better suited to a professional environment. Although calling itself spy software it has many practical uses and certainly monitoring you childs computer use is one of them. 007 Spy Software is very affordable (A best price of $39.95 direct from Waresight Software). The software contains many of the features that you find across the broad spectrum of spy/monitoring solutions, including:-

As well as the standard features 007 Spy Software also has a really nice additional feature in that it records changes to files and folders within the file system. This was the only program I tested that had this type of functionality, a valuable addition to anybody whose children like to mess with files on a family PC! In using the "Spy" name it would only be right that 007 Spy Software contains ways of operating stealthily. There is the option to remove the icon whilst running, to totally remove the program from the task manager and also an expert mode that removes any of extra files installed with the program giving it as small a footprint as possible.


Once any activity has been recorded with 007 Spy Software it can then be either viewed from within the program or e-mailed to you. Whilst perhaps lacking in some of the more advanced features of the more expensive monitoring products out there 007 Spy Software contains all the basics you need to effectively monitor a PC backed up with good support and at an affordable price.
